Sophie Roberts

Veterinary Nurse

Sophie has always had a passion to be in the animal industry. She was previously employed at the University of Western Australia in Animal Care Services. Then she took a break to work on a cattle station in norther WA. Since returning, Sophie has completed her studies in Veterinary Nursing and has been nursing since 2011.

Sophie has a snake handling certificate which was completed prior to her commencement as a vet nurse. In 2016 she also completed a certificate in Chemical Immobilisation and Chemical Restraint for Wild and Domesticated Animals.

Imaging, medical and critical care cases are veterinary areas Sophie is particularly passionate about. She enjoys working at PVE because there is never a dull moment working in emergency, regardless of the time of night. “The team here at PVE are an amazing group of individuals (including the clinic cats) who all have a very high standard of patient care and love for the job.”

In her spare time, Sophie enjoys show jumping and eventing as she has a great love for horses. She has a variety of pets including horses, sheep, alpaca, chickens, a wonderful dog called Penny, an adopted clinic cat called Arthur and a piglet called Peppa “who rules the roost!”
