Leah Cruttenden RVN
Growing up on a farm, Leah had lots of hands on experience with animals from an early age. She formed a love for looking after and caring for them and wasted no time entering the veterinary industry after highschool.
During her studies, Leah completed prac at Mt Helena Vet Clinic where she was offered a veterinary nursing position. Leah worked with this practice for 2 years before joining the PVE team in February 2016.
Leah has an interest in radiography and ultrasonography because she is intrigued with seeing things the eye cannot. While gaining experience working with this equipment, Leah also enjoys working at PVE because of the working environment, “We are one big family. Everyone is more than happy to help out and share their knowledge with one another.”
In her spare time, Leah enjoys 4 wheel driving, motor bike riding, and competing in horse shows with her miniature horses.
Her pets include Oscar, a Domestic Medium Hair who is not your typical cat. He is laid back, loves everyone and anything. He cuddles with both paws wrapped around your neck, has been taught to sit on command and while he will hang out with dogs without a care in the world, he is not fond of cats. Then there’s Maggie, a Kelpie x Mastiff x Great Dane. She is a cheeky puppy who is always getting up to mischief. She’s a quick learner and takers everything in her stride, even 4 wheel driving where she falls asleep without a care in the world. Maggie is the biggest princess and loves to snuggle in bed. She is also Oscar’s best friend.
